Christ Embassy music director in court for alleged abduction of a female banker

The music director of Christ Embassy has been dragged to court (Igbosore magistrate court) for allegedly abducting a female banker demanding for 20 million naira ransom in exchange for her freedom.

Edward Nnaji, a 25-year-old, movie actor and also a music director at Christ Embassy, Zone 1, Idimangoro Parish, Agege, Lagos, was arrested by The Federal Anti-Rubbery Squad (FESARS) of Nigeria Police Force, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Nnaji was alleged to have teamed up with two others to abduct on Miss Popoola Morenikeji, in the year ‘2012’, where they demanded a sum of 20 million naira for her ransom.

The build-up to the kidnapping saga began when the suspects allegedly abducted the victim around Amuwo Odofin area of Lagos, blindfolded and took her to an uncompleted building around Mowe in Ogun State, where she was kept for four days with hands and legs in chains…

Police prosecutor, Chales Odii, a
Superintendent of Police (SP) said the offence was punishable under section 6 b, 1, 2(A) and b of criminal laws of Lagos state, 2011.
