Aggrieved Politicians Responsible For Insurgency In Nigeria – Cleric


The Katsina state Chairman, Christian
Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Nelson Onyekachukwu has In his sermon at the Church of Resurrection in Nigeria in Katsina, blamed insecurity in Nigeria on disgruntled politicians. He said that the security challenge threatening the country has
nothing to do with religion.

“It is not the issue of a Muslim or Christian that is behind the inhuman act.
“The insecurity is caused by some people who are aggrieved and have not satisfied their selfish interests,’’
he claimed.

He afterwards called on Christians to embark on prayer sessions for the senseless killings to end.

“We believe in the power of prayers to solve problems and we believe that anything that has
a beginning will have an end,”
he said.

On his explanation on the essence of Christmas, the Onyekachukwu said that Christians were celebrating
Christmas so as to remember the birth of Jesus Christ.

“It is a day set aside for all Christians all over the world to remember the birth of Jesus
“The Christians have been directed to celebrate the Christmas by sharing gifts and assisting the
less privileged,”
he explained.
